About Us

We are fourth-generation sheep and cattle ranchers and farmers.  Ben More Mountain Ranch is a family-owned ranch located at the base of Ben More Mountain in Oregon. During the last 25-years we have completed multiple restoration projects on the property, including removal of non-native species, planting 50,000 conifers, oak savannah restoration, watershed enhancement, and planting native grasses, forbs, and shrubs.  We are small woodland tree farmers. Our family actively supports 4H and FFA as club members and leaders.

We raised hemp for 2-years and after prices dropped looked at options for using our 3,000 square feet greenhouse.  Our family decided to grow local native plants for support of native plant restoration projects and formed Ben More Mountain Nursery, LLC.  The nursery is a partner of the Umpqua Native Plant Partnership (UNPP) and a member of Umpqua Valley Chapter of Native Plant Society.  The nursey has propagated a wide variety of native plants through UNPP.  Ben More Mountain Nursery has partnered with UNPP to develop protocols for small nurseries to raise native plants for restoration projects.
